AeroEmbed-1.5 is the next iteration of AeroAI's aviation-focused language model. The goal is straightforward: improve what AeroEmbed-1 already does well without solving every problem by simply making the model larger.

The model remains at 0.8 billion parameters. Instead of increasing its footprint, this update focuses on how the model reasons through a task, handles uncertainty, and works with tools. That includes stronger internal reasoning and more dependable tool calling for workflows where the model needs to use structured information or external capabilities.

A major focus of the update is reducing avoidable errors. AeroEmbed-1.5 is being developed to better separate what it knows from what it needs to determine, follow instructions more consistently, and produce more deliberate answers when a task contains multiple constraints.

In AeroAI's current internal evaluation, AeroEmbed-1.5 has an average pass rate of 11 out of 12. This is an AeroAI-reported development result, not an independent benchmark, certification, or guarantee of performance in real-world flight operations.

Keeping the model at 0.8B parameters also keeps the project focused on efficiency. A smaller model can be easier to deploy in resource-constrained environments, but size alone does not determine whether a model is accurate or appropriate for a particular aviation task.

AeroEmbed-1.5 is still in development. More information about the evaluation methodology, release, supported tools, and availability will be published as the model moves toward release. As with any AI system, its output should be independently verified when accuracy and safety matter.
